Selection Process

Discover the rigorous frameworks ensuring independence, integrity, and freedom from commercial influence in our selection cycles.

1. Eligibility Review

An administrative check to ensure the candidate meets age criteria (9–25), nationality requirements, and submission completeness. This stage does not assess merit.

2. Independent Jury Assessment

Submissions are reviewed by an international panel of independent jurors. Assessment is based on the core values: integrity, courage, and human impact.

3. Confidential Deliberation

The Jury convenes in closed sessions to deliberate on potential honourees. No rankings or scores are published; the focus is on consensus regarding the candidate's contribution.

4. Ratification & Conferral

Final selections are ratified by the Governance Board. Honourees are notified privately before the official ceremony.

Core Governance Policies

Standards that protect the integrity of the Prize.

No Lobbying

Any attempt to influence the Jury by parents, institutions, or agents results in immediate disqualification.

No Public Ranking

We do not publish 'top 10' lists or scores. The Prize is an honour, not a race. You are either a Laureate or a Candidate.

Confidentiality

The identities of the Jury are disclosed only at institutional discretion to protect them from external pressure.

Institutional Authority

The Prize is instituted by the International Modern Arts Consortium (IMAC) and accredited by the World Art Bureau. Governance standards are aligned with the United Governance Organization (UGO) and the International Codex Institute.
